Coaching practice, established 2007

Most people already know what they want. The work is doing it on a schedule.

Advanced Success Training runs structured coaching engagements for people who are capable, busy, and quietly stuck on something that matters. Written goals, a session every fortnight, and an honest read on whether the needle is actually moving.

The three programs

One to one coaching

For one person carrying one objective that has stopped moving on its own.

From $250 per session

The group program

Eight weeks with seven other people who will notice whether you did the thing.

$1,200 for eight weeks

Team workshops

Half a day with a team that needs to agree what it is actually doing next.

The method

A fortnight is the unit of work

Weekly is too often to show real change, and monthly is long enough to forget what you agreed. Everything here runs on a two week rhythm: you leave a session with two or three written commitments, you carry them through fourteen days of ordinary life, and you come back and say plainly what happened.

Nothing about that is clever. It works because the interval is short enough that you cannot quietly drop something, and long enough that you have to fit it around a real job.

The full approach

  1. Day one The session

Sixty minutes. What happened since last time, what it means, and what the next two or three commitments are. Written down before you leave.

  2. Day seven The midpoint note

Two or three lines from you, in writing. Not a report. Enough that a slipping week gets named while there is still a week left to fix it.

  3. Day fourteen The next session

Starts with the commitments. Done or not done, and why. That question, asked calmly every fortnight, is most of the value.

I had been telling the same story about my career for four years. It took about six weeks here to notice I was telling it, and another three months to be doing something else instead.

Start with a conversation, not a commitment

Every engagement begins with a free thirty minute call. You describe what is stuck, and you get a straight answer about whether this practice is the right fit. If it is not, you will be told so.
